| My career has centered around children and families for the last decade. I taught middle school English the last 10 years in San Antonio before becoming a school counselor and have chosen to make education my field of expertise.
I'm also a certified principal and ELA adjunct through Region 20 Education Center. Because of these wonderful opportunities, I have experienced working with children and adults at varying levels.
In addition to my background in education, I began working as a part-time Supervised Visitation Observer (SVO) with Child Protective Service 5 years ago under United Family Care Social Services and OmniLayne Counselling.
I really enjoy the opportunity to work with individuals and families in this capacity. Currently I work independently with Bexar County Domestic Relations department to supervise private visits outside of CPS and family court as well as a subcontractor for DFPS with ONYX Supervision Services.
My background in education and my experience working with children and parents really makes my contribution to this role significant. Serving as a monitor/observer has been quite rewarding and beneficial in my own endeavors as a counselor and educator.
Client and child will meet with monitor prior to initial visit to discuss guidelines and share information.
All parties must agree to the guidelines and fees. Visitation dates will be set and agreed upon prior to the initial visit. There is no fee for the intake.
