| The goal of The Safe Havens Supervised Visitation and Exchange Program is to provide supervised child visitation and exchange services to families in situations involving domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, or stalking. We do on site visits and exchanges only.
These services are provided for families residing in the 33rd Judicial Circuit of Scott and Mississippi County who need the service regardless of ability to pay.
This program offers children access to both parents without the child witnessing tension or violence between the parents. Two trained visitation and exchange monitors provide this service.
Children are exchanged from one parent to the other during standard visitation times without the parents having any contact with each other.
This often eliminates future incidences of violence. Future acts of violence including harassment and stalking are often centered around visitation of parents with children.
In some instances the court may deem that a parent must visit his or her children supervised. In these instances the visitation will take place at Susanna Wesley with trained monitors present during the entire visit. |
