| I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I have 11 years experience working as a Child Protective Services Investigator in Durham and Orange Counties.
I began supervising visits in 2003 since then I've worked with many families with varying reasons for supervision.
To date, I have supervised hundreds of cases, which have including issues of domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, physical and sexual abuse, and neglect. And, reunification efforts after a long absence of a parent.
I have an outstanding reputation in the community for my excellent work, strong ethics, ability to remain neutral, my detailed documentation, and my understanding of family dynamics and child development. My referrals come from primarily from therapists, attorneys, and directly from various judges in the counties where I serve.
I pride myself in being professional on many levels; however, I'm also warm, approachable, and have an inherent ability to establish a rapport, and trust with both parents and children of whom I work with.
I'm now starting a full-time business of Supervision Services which also includes, parent education, group services, and Guardian Ad Litem services as well.
My experiences over the years has provided me a strong foundation to primarily focus on my supervision career, as I find my work rewarding, interesting and important.
I've been told, "You are the eyes and the ears of the court, and without you and your ability to produce fine work, the court would have a more difficult time making a decision for what is best for the children."
I will provide references and additional information about myself upon request. If I'm not available to supervise a visit, I will have one of my very qualified associate handle the case.
