Provider Notes: GASP is non-traditional family non-profit organization dedicated solely to helping families and youth successfully navigate the very difficult grief process of their families breaking up. Every day, children are touched by emotional suffering caused by a death, divorce, deployment of a family member, incarceration of a loved one, dealing with a substance abuse problem, a mental illness of a parent, or separation from a parent. And, while a few children are resilient, we know that most do not bounce back easily without help.

We offer supervised visitation, support group meetings, case management, respite.

Supervised Exchanges are provided at the Grandparenting Center, in Clarence. Exchanges are done on site for those parents who are not required to have supervised visitations with their children. Exchanges are monitored to ensure a non-confrontational exchange of the children from one party to the next.

Supervised Visitations are done at the Grandparenting Center or off site that are closely monitored by trained GASP staff. If necessary, the monitor will intervene for the safety of the children. Visits typically last for one and a half (1 1/2) hours at a time and monitored by a GASP staff person that observes the visit for the emotional and physical safety of the children.
