Provider Notes:
| The Supervised Visitation Program provides a safe, supportive and neutral setting for children to visit the non custodial parent in cases where child abuse, domestic violence or other issues of family discord prevent them from visiting without supervision. This structured visitation setting provides parents an opportunity to learn and improve parenting skills through individualized parent education and role modeling. All visits take place at SPCC in comfortable, home-like rooms furnished with games, toys and craft activities for families to enjoy and share. Supervision is provided by staff and trained volunteers.
In addition, families requiring services from the Supervised Exchange Program are offered a safe and neutral location for the exchange of their children from one parent to another.
Referrals for the Supervised Visitation and Exchange Program may be received from Family, Supreme, DV or IDV Courts of Monroe County or Monroe County Department of Human Services. |
